Be called Silent Hill: Downpour is a survival horror, we see a town bigger than ever, and will have much more psychological terror.

Since in the past revealed KONAMI E3 2010 trailer of what would be the eighth installment in the Silent Hill franchise, developed by Vatra Games, we do not hear more details of this game, but U.S. magazine Game Informer gives us new details on this eighth installment.

As the name implies, Downpour, (in Spanish rain) water will play an important role in this issue, and as we see in the trailer, the water will take addresses off completely distorted and unimaginable, causing this kind of change that suffers terrifying people, as in previous installments.

As for the history we know that the protagonist, a kind of guilty, for some reason manages to escape the vehicle where they are locked and cannot find anything better to flee the town of Silent Hill, where he will meet with various characters and strange creatures that appear when the country suffers a bizarre transformation. What happens in the village? That we will know when the game reaches our hands.

Regarding the gameplay, this is a survival horror, so our first priority is to survive, instead of trying to kill bugs as we cross the road, although there will be some creatures that we cannot avoid and we will face with anything that can be used as a weapon (which will break with use) and there will even be QuickTime events where we have to press certain buttons to kill the bosses.

Other features of the game find that we can change the level of difficulty of the puzzle, use the Metro across town (in this issue is bigger than ever) and have side quests. Finally, a soundtrack that promises to scare even the bravest, as usual in the series.
