Play the game Crysis 2

Play the game Crysis 2For some probably Crysis 2 is not an unknown game, on the contrary, those who already had access to the beta last year and took out the juice, were more or less clear what they would find. We already tested the beta and gave our views at the time, but with the games on a somewhat more complete for re-review the work of Cytec during these months. And there are some surprises that are worth mentioning.

The level of the new demo is the same as the first beta: the roofs of two buildings in New York, and although rather small in terms of extensions, if it offers enough to keep trying vertical scale of what’s next in the final version.

The vertical level will delight those who exploit and dominate the most of the nana suit abilities, and playing either invisible or falling suddenly upon the enemy, there is plenty to take advantage of combat techniques. Generalizing and simplifying the situation enough, this is a Call of Duty meets Halo: Reach, with their respective variables.

On the other hand, something that matters much when it comes to Crytek and Crysis. The investigators have already said that Crysis 2 was only possible in Cry Engine and nothing more, but left the door open for people’s opinions. Strictly speaking consoles and comparing with what has been seen before, the only palpable actually improves the rate of frames per second, which is now locked at 30 and with a motion blur that makes the game look pretty fluid.

Likewise, the HDR-High Dynamic Range, and the lighting system in general are the best I’ve seen in any game in this generation of consoles (with apologies to Killzone 2 and Alan Wake), and even there it comes global illumination, something that if true, would definitely Crysis 2 in the top one console, technically speaking …

Once in the street demo for PC, major conclusions can be drawn and even obvious in some cases (figures), the issue of input lag to be seen in other conditions. For now, what can be tested in Crysis 2 leaves some questions for the future, especially in what clearly playable. It is bad practice to draw conclusions that may sound final with little material available to judge, but hopefully people are taking note of Crytek respect to certain parameters.
