When I realized that Saints Row, the game inspired by the Grand Theft Auto for consoles, was in Facebook gave me immense joy. However, at first I thought it was another game like Mafia Wars.

But luckily this is not true, but you could say that looks very similar to another online game on Facebook, the Crime City. After testing it in a nutshell, I can say that it is a fun and refreshing, but the graphics look like something out of a 90 to end of flash games.

Facebook In Saints Row, players assume the role of the leader of a gang in the city of Stilwater. It is our job to dominate the neighborhoods by force and enforce our power, something that is fun.

Most of our actions will be made with thugs (something like the energy) or weapons. The thugs used to do almost all tasks and replenished over time, like the energy in other social games, but the weapons are needed to attack and take over the territories more and more difficult in the maps that appear. Of course, to defeat enemy gang members and dock buildings will give us coins, however, cost us some thugs.

In Saints Row, will eventually have the need to protect and maintain the neighborhoods that we control and can hire friends to do it for us. This is the only social characteristic that is immediately noticeable. There is no apparent competition between gangs remain friends and Mafia Wars, which I think is a serious oversight.

Frankly, Saints Row has a lot of defects. Although they differed from the industry leaders, you lose the sense of mafia games: competition. Sure, there’s a sense of camaraderie to help friends out. But beyond all, if you want to play a game of mafia renovated with some different features, Saint Row is an excellent choice, not to mention that the defects mentioned can be overcome with the passage of time.
